Summary
We are looking for a reliable and organised Office Administrator to support our growing IT and Telecoms business. This role is central to the smooth running of the office and will involve regular interaction with customers, engineers, suppliers, and internal systems.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in an office or customer service environment, be confident handling calls, and be comfortable working with IT systems. Experience within an IT, telecoms, or technical services business would be an advantage, but is not essential for the right person.
Key Responsibilities
• Answering and directing incoming calls in a professional and friendly manner
• Providing first-line customer service support via phone and email
• Logging service requests, incidents, and jobs accurately within internal systems
• Scheduling and coordinating engineer visits and customer appointments
• Updating customer records, contracts, and service information
• Assisting with general office administration, including filing and document management
• Supporting billing, purchase orders, and supplier coordination (where required)
• Liaising with customers to provide updates on tickets, installations, and support requests
• Ensuring systems and records are kept up to date and accurate
Skills and Experience Required
• Previous experience in an office administration or customer service role
• Confident and professional telephone manner
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Comfortable using computer systems, including Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams)
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise workload effectively
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• A proactive, can-do attitude and willingness to learn
Desirable (but not essential)
• Experience working within an IT services, telecoms, or MSP environment
• Familiarity with ticketing systems, CRMs, or job management software
• Understanding of broadband, VoIP, connectivity, or managed IT services
