Summary

To work as part of a team to provide safe, high quality care and early years learning experiences for the children at Little Acorns. We are looking for a QUALIFIED LEVEL 3 practitioner that can start as soon as possible. Available working hours range from 7:45 - 4:30, Monday to Friday, term time only. Days and times can be discussed but we would need someone who is able to work a minimum of 3 days a week. Overtime is always available to cover sickness and holiday.

Job responsibilities include:
Safeguarding children and families
Providing tailored support to key children, and carrying out regular observations
Flexibility and able to cope with the changing needs of the Pre-school
Setting up activities, furniture and equipment prior to sessions starting
Cleaning and tidying at the end of the day
Contribute to planning and delivering the curriculum
Work in partnership with parents
Attend mandatory meetings, professional development days and training
Participate in out-of-work hours events - fundraising events and open mornings

Essential criteria for applicants:
Level 3 or above in an early years qualification
Satisfactory enhanced DBS
An understanding of how to safeguard children and their families
Desire to continue with professional development
Experience of working in an early years setting
Experience of delivering the EYFS
Commitment to diversity and equal opportunities
Be approachable, reliable and conscientious
Be warm and positive towards staff, children and their families
Able to use initiative and manage workload
Able to provide two references

Desirable criteria:
Paediatric first aid
Basic food hygiene
Basic health and safety
