System Sense Technology Ltd is an established IT support and managed services provider based in Essex. We support business clients with professional IT solutions, cloud services, and on-site technical support.
We are seeking a motivated Trainee IT Support Engineer to join our team and develop into a client-facing IT professional.

The Role
This position is ideal for someone starting their career in IT support. You may have completed some IT training but have limited hands-on experience. Full on-the-job training will be provided.
Initial Work Pattern:
• 3–4 days per week at our office in Little Canfield, Essex CM6
• 1–2 days per week on-site at a client location in Ongar
Future Progression:
As you gain experience and confidence, the role will transition to being primarily based at the client site in Ongar, acting as a dedicated on-site IT support engineer.
You must be able to reliably commute to both locations.

Key Responsibilities
• Providing first-line IT support to users
• Assisting with hardware and software setup
• Troubleshooting desktops, laptops, and basic networking issues
• Supporting cloud-based systems and Microsoft 365 environments
• Working both remotely and on-site with clients
• Escalating complex issues to senior engineers
• Maintaining professional and clear communication

What We’re Looking For
• At least GCSE level education
• Some IT training, study, or personal technical experience
• Strong interest in IT support as a long-term career
• Logical and analytical mindset
• Professional and presentable
• Able to remain focused under pressure
• Enjoys problem-solving and continuous learning
• Full UK driving licence (required)
• Able to commute to Little Canfield and Ongar
