We are looking for a caring, reliable and enthusiastic Personal Assistant to support an intelligent, loving and hardworking mum and her 7-year-old non-verbal son to access activities within the community.This is a 2:1 role for 6 hours per week during school holidays (13 weeks per year). You will work alongside another PA to ensure this little boy can get out, explore and enjoy fun activities safely.He has diagnoses of Autistic Spectrum Disorder and Pica and requires constant supervision, as he has no awareness of danger. When out in the community, he is supported either with reins or in a pushchair to ensure his safety. Like many children, he can experience periods of dysregulation, so a calm, patient and proactive approach is essential to help him feel secure and supported.Personal care is required in this role, including support with nappies and toileting.He is an energetic, curious and sensory-driven little boy who especially loves visits to the beach. He thrives on messy, tactile play and particularly enjoys stacking, building, spinning objects and water-based activities.We are looking for someone who is:
