Summary

What skills and experience we're looking for

Our infant school is proud to be establishing a new specialist resource provision for children with Communication and Interaction needs. This provision will offer a calm, nurturing and highly inclusive environment where children are supported and educated in a way that is carefully matched to their individual strengths and needs. Rooted in our passion for play-based learning, we are committed to creating a space where every child feels safe, understood and able to thrive.

Following our recent Ofsted inspection, where we were graded Expected across all areas and recognised as being strong in inclusion, we are building on this positive foundation as we develop our specialist provision. Inclusion is not an add-on at our school — it is central to who we are and underpins every aspect of our practice. Ofsted shared “Leaders also prioritise staff's wellbeing, fostering a positive and supportive culture” and “Pupils and staff are happy to be part of such a special place.”

We are seeking an inspirational and skilled specialist teacher with the qualifications, expertise and ambition to enable children to achieve their learning and personal targets. The successful candidate will bring a clear sense of purpose, a positive and solution-focused outlook, and a deep commitment to helping every child become the very best version of themselves.

Our whole-school team is highly skilled in adapting provision, curriculum and delivery to ensure that all children succeed. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work alongside dedicated colleagues to further develop innovative and outstanding practice within our new resource provision, building on our strong culture of inclusion and continuous improvement.

We are looking for a teacher who:

• Has a proven ability to teach pupils with C&I needs effectively through the use of dynamic & engaging techniques.

• Has the ability to lead a provision and manage staff in an effective way towards outstanding practice

• Is able to reflect and see solutions in daily teaching, in own practice and that of the team.

• Can use their initiative to solve problems.

• Can share ideas for the adjustment of learning to enable pupils to access the learning effectively.

• To build effective trusting relationships with staff, pupils, parents and external agencies.

• To support in shaping the new provision space.
