What skills and experience we're looking for
• Sunrise Academy, Lowestoft
• 1 FTE - Permanent
• Salary: MPR + SEN Allowance
We are seeking a compassionate and committed Teacher of Maths or Science to join our team, with the ability and willingness to teach both subjects, working predominantly with Key Stage 3 and 4 students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) needs. In this role, you will create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment that promotes each child’s academic, emotional, and social development. You will play a key role in planning and delivering personalised Maths and Science lessons across the SEND curriculum, using trauma-informed approaches to support students in managing behaviour and reaching their full potential. Collaboration is central to this role, and you will work closely with parents, colleagues, and external professionals to ensure every student receives the tailored support and guidance they need.
We are looking for an outstanding individual with a strong background in Maths or Science, who can inspire young learners through creative, flexible, and evidence-based teaching strategies, and who is enthusiastic about developing confidence and curiosity across both subject areas.
