Summary

The role of the MHST Referral Co-ordinator will be to engage in case discussions with other clinicians, liaison with schools, information gathering and frequent provision of safeguarding and safety advice to teachers, parents, young people and their families. The successful candidate will have a good overview of the commissioned remit of the MHST and the roles of different professionals within the team so that they are informed in their decisions about accepting young people in to the service. They will also have extensive knowledge of other services that may be able to provide more suitable support within Nottinghamshire CAMHS and wider partners. The schools included in this project will have a designated Mental Health Lead, who can refer directly into the service. We work closely alongside these staff as we support them in creating a whole school approach to mental health. You will work with a variety of agencies to ensure a quality service is provided. You will work alongside more junior members of the team, at times in providing cover for parent, well-being and 1:1 sessions. A full UK driving licence and vehicle for business use is required for this post; however reasonable adjustments will be made as required in line with the Equality Act 2010. The MHST cover the county of Nottinghamshire and have bases across the county, the main base for the team is at Highbury Hospital, Nottingham, NG6 9DR.
