About the Role
We are looking for a skilled Electrical Fitter to join our team. You’ll work both in-house and onsite at customer locations, assembling and installing automation machinery and systems.
This is a hands-on, versatile role — you’ll work on electrical assemblies, wiring, and support mechanical components where needed, tackling unique challenges on every project. Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and flexibility are key.
You’ll take ownership of your work, ensuring projects are delivered to a high standard and on time.
Key Responsibilities

Assemble and install automation machinery and systems, including conveyors, robotics, and packaging equipment

Work from engineering drawings, schematics, and method statements

Perform electrical wiring and basic electrical tasks as required

Ensure work meets quality standards and project specifications

Maintain a safe and tidy working environment

Collaborate with team members and liaise with customers onsite

Travel to UK and international customer sites as required (approx. 30–40% of the time)
Skills & Experience
-
Apprentice-trained or qualified Electrical Fitter / Mechanical-Electrical Fitter preferred
-
3+ years’ experience building/installing industrial machinery or conveyors
-
Skilled in using hand tools and power tools
-
Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings
-
Knowledge of electrical and pneumatic systems, including valves, is a plus
-
Experience with medium-sized assemblies and sub-assemblies
-
Familiarity with hygienic environments and health & safety standards
-
Strong attention to detail, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team
Key Requirements

Self-starter, able to work with minimal supervision

Willingness to learn new skills and methods

Flexible and able to travel internationally (typically up to 2 weeks at a time, ~6 trips/year)

Trustworthy, reliable, and a strong communicator

Fluent in English (additional languages a plus)

Positive “can-do” attitude

Full UK driving licence (max 3 penalty points)

British/EU passport holders only (required for USA/Canada travel)

No criminal convictions preventing overseas travel
