Summary
We invite applications for 9 Junior Clinical Teaching Fellow posts at University Hospitals Dorset. Appointments will be to Foundation programme (1), Simulation (1), Southampton undergraduate medical students (4) and St George (Grenada) Medical school (3).
It is a fantastic time to join our enthusiastic team as we look to strengthen our, already highly regarded, clinical teaching fellowship program. University Hospitals Dorset is currently in the final stages of a £500 million pound transformation process which will make us one of the largest acute trusts in the south of England.

· Clinical Teaching Fellows will be involved in the delivery of a wide variety of teaching including:
o Bedside teaching on wards
o Small group problem solving / tutorials
o Clinical skills teaching
o Simulation suite scenarios
o Course induction and feedback sessions
o Mock OSCE
· The successful candidate will help to develop and organise teaching sessions for medical students and will liaise with speciality lead clinicians to do so.
· The successful candidate will organise and deliver exam preparation training including a mock OSCE for final year students CTFs will be role models for medical students in all aspects of professional and clinical life.
· CTFs will be as flexible and adaptable as possible and will try to offer personalised support and training for students.
· The CTF role is primarily educational, and the successful candidates will adapt and spend their educational time providing education at key times of year with the flexibility to experience more clinical work at other times of year (average 2 clinical sessions per week).
· Support will be offered to develop your skills as an educator
UHD are investing, developing and transforming Trust services in line with the New Hospital Programme. As part of this, some services may move site this year or next, either temporarily or permanently. Recruiting Managers will be happy to answer any service-specific questions at interview.
If a role or service relocates as part of a planned move, excess mileage will not be reimbursed. Travel from home to the new work base will be classed as a normal commute. Any other changes will be managed under Trust or national terms and conditions.
