We are looking for a kind, friendly, and reliable Personal Assistant to support a wonderful 7-year-old boy who loves swimming, nursery rhymes, music, expressions, and cuddles. He is full of personality and thrives with warmth, patience, and encouragement.

The role involves supporting him at home and helping him access the community outside of school hours, engaging him in activities he enjoys and supporting his development in a fun and caring way.

He has epilepsy, so experience would be highly desirable. However, a full care plan is in place, and his mum will provide thorough guidance. The successful applicant will also have the opportunity to shadow mum during the trial period to build confidence and understanding in the role.

The family lives close to Lancing station, so a driving licence is not required. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in a child’s life within a warm and supportive family setting.

Duties include:
- Medication prompting/administering
- Personal grooming
- Eating and drinking assistance
- Moving and handling
- Other relevant duties as required
- Administration
- Housekeeping
- Companionship
- Dressing / undressing
- Nappies changes
- PEG feed and suctions - experience needed
- Hoisting

Candidate qualities:

- Hygienic, tidy and well organised
- Fit and healthy to undertake the required duties
- Patient and possess excellent interpersonal skills

Please note: there are five cats in the household, so this role would not be suitable for individuals with cat allergies
