Summary

The School of Organisations, Systems & People is seeking to appoint Assessment-Only Markers to support assessment activity. These positions are offered on an Assessment-Only basis, meaning the appointed individuals will be responsible solely for the marking and moderation of student assessments and not for teaching delivery or student support.

Markers may be allocated work across undergraduate (Levels 4–6) and postgraduate (Level 7) modules, depending on expertise and availability. We invite applications from individuals with academic or professional experience in any of the School’s subject areas, including but not limited to:

Business Management, Human Resource Management, Organisational Behaviour, Operations & Supply Chain Management.

Prior experience of marking in higher education, familiarity with academic standards and assessment rubrics, and the ability to provide clear, constructive feedback aligned with learning outcomes are essential.

Applicants should clearly indicate the discipline areas and specific subject expertise in which they are able to contribute.

Terms and Arrangements:

Successful applicants will be provided with full marking guidance, assessment criteria, and moderation processes in advance of any marking and marking allocations will be agreed in advance.

Hours of work will vary depending on School needs, module size, and assessment schedules.

The working pattern for this post will be agreed in line with School’s requirements and the University’s sessional arrangements.
