The Accounts Payable Supervisor Role :
Lead the day‑to‑day management of the Accounts Payable team, ensuring workloads, processes, and performance are well‑organised and efficient.
Champion accuracy, compliance, and financial risk control across the Purchase Ledger and Subcontract Ledger.
Support the business by ensuring timely processing of high‑volume invoices and month‑end close.
Build strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders, ensuring exceptional service and communication.
Oversee CIS compliance and monthly submissions to HMRC.
Coach, develop, and empower your team — helping them achieve their best and supporting their long‑term progression.
Drive improvements, implement smarter processes, and enhance team capability through training and delegation.
What you will bring :
Proven supervisory experience within Accounts Payable or a similar finance environment.
Solid understanding of financial controls and ledger management.
Knowledge of the Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) is an advantage.
Confident using ERP systems, financial ledgers, and MS Excel.
Strong communication and relationship‑building skills.
The ability to stay calm under pressure and lead with fairness and integrity.
