What skills and experience we're looking for
The Priory Academy LSST, one of the UK’s top performing state schools, is looking for a Teacher of Music to join our successful, passionate, and ambitious Music department in an Academy, where music is valued and the facilities are good. We are fortunate to have a music block, two purpose built classrooms, several practice rooms, and two large halls, in which to stage performances.
We are seeking to appoint a well-qualified and enthusiastic Music Teacher to join our vibrant and committed team of specialist staff. Music to A Level would be desirable. The post would suit an NQT or an ambitious teacher looking for career development.
All students have one hour per week in KS3 and we have healthy group numbers at GCSE and A Level. A large number of students participate in a wealth of extracurricular musical activities, and we provide many performance opportunities, including a Christmas Concert, an annual musical production, an Easter Concert and a Summer Arts Extravaganza.
