Summary
Your new company This community‑focused organisation based in the Midlands is undertaking significant transformation to modernise its operations and enhance the experience it delivers to its customers and colleagues. With a strong sense of purpose and a commitment to continuous improvement, it is strengthening its internal capability to support a wide range of change initiatives across people, processes, and technology. As part of this investment, a new opportunity has arisen for a Senior Business Analyst to join the Business Change team and play a key role in delivering high‑quality, insight‑driven change across the organisation.
Your new role In this role, you'll operate as a Senior Business Analyst, working across multiple large‑scale, complex projects. You'll bring structure and clarity to business problems, ensuring that requirements, future ways of working and testing activity are robust, well‑designed and aligned to strategic objectives. You'll work closely with colleagues across the organisation, including senior stakeholders, to support effective decision‑making and successful delivery. Key responsibilities include:
- Building strong relationships across the organisation and influencing decisions with stakeholders up to Director and Executive level
- Leading structured analysis across systems, processes and people, producing clear recommendations, risks, and impact assessments
- Eliciting, documenting, and prioritising requirements, ensuring full traceability and alignment to business objectives
- Producing high‑quality artefacts such as Project Foundation Documents, process maps, future‑state designs, and benefit cases
- Working with Project Managers to define scope, risks, timelines, costs, and resource needs across the full change lifecycle
- Delivering thorough and timely test preparation across all stages of the testing lifecycle, including identifying resources, planning activity, and coordinating large business‑led test teams. Ensuring defects are prioritised and effectively managed and providing clear updates and reports to support key decisions.
- Supporting operational readiness and smooth handover into business‑as‑usual, ensuring benefits can be realised.
- Mentoring and coaching Business Analysts, contributing to the development of templates, standards, and best practice to mature the BA service offering.
What you'll need to succeed You'll bring a blend of senior‑level analytical expertise, strong stakeholder engagement, and the ability to operate confidently across complex or ambiguous change initiatives. You will have excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate detail into clear, user‑friendly language for a range of audiences. You will be experienced in requirements engineering, benefits modelling, impact assessment and designing improved processes and ways of working, with a strong track record of delivering analysis in agile or traditional environments. Significant experience in planning and coordinating business‑led testing, including test cases, traceability, defect management, and readiness for go‑live, is essential. A recognised Business Analysis qualification is required.
What you'll get in return You'll be part of an organisation that places people at the heart of its mission. In addition to a fulfilling role, you'll benefit from a competitive salary package, generous annual leave, flexible hybrid working arrangements (minimum two days onsite), enhanced pension contributions, access to health and wellbeing support, and opportunities for professional development and career growth.
