Summary

Regional Operations Manager

Salary: £42,000 – £45,000 per annum
Service Type: Supported Living
Location: Multi-site around Chester and surrounding area
Travel: Regular regional travel required
Reports to: Assistant Director of Governance & Operations

The Opportunity

We are recruiting for an experienced Regional Operations Manager to oversee a portfolio of supported living services across multiple locations in Cheshire and Merseyside.

This is a senior leadership role requiring strong multi-site management experience within supported living or social care. You will be responsible for quality, compliance, financial performance, cultural leadership, and operational delivery across your region.

Key Responsibilities
Regional Leadership

Provide clear, values-led leadership across all services within your region.
Ensure high-quality, person-centred support that meets the expectations of people supported, regulators and stakeholders.
Deliver regional performance in line with company KPIs.
Take full financial accountability for regional budgets, working closely with central support functions.
Contribute to organisational strategic planning and regional development plans.
Ensure full regulatory compliance, identifying and managing risk in a solution-focused way, upholding duty of candour.
Maintain oversight of organisational systems and ensure effective use across the region.

Leadership & Management of Teams

Develop and implement a robust regional workforce plan, including succession planning and leadership development.
Coach and mentor Operational Leads and Service Managers to drive high performance.
Monitor staffing levels, skill mix and rostering to ensure safe, person-centred delivery.
Oversee safe recruitment, induction and training processes to ensure staff are competent and confident in practice.
Maintain oversight of HR systems and employee records.
Take accountability for overall team performance and stakeholder relationships.

Governance & Quality of Support

Embed a strong, inclusive and respectful organisational culture across services.
Ensure safeguarding and the protection of people supported remains paramount.
Challenge poor or restrictive practice immediately and take appropriate action.
Monitor outcomes to ensure person-centred practice is consistently delivered.
Lead initiatives to strengthen community engagement for people supported.
Promote openness, transparency and a learning culture across services.
Participate in an on-call rota.

Professional Engagement

Build strong relationships with senior professionals and external stakeholders.
Manage complaints and reputational risks effectively.
Act as a regional ambassador, always reflecting company values and professional standards.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:
Proven multi-site management experience within supported living or social care (essential).
Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks and quality assurance systems.
Experience managing budgets and delivering against financial targets.
A track record of improving service quality and developing leadership teams.
Excellent communication, risk management and stakeholder engagement skills.
The ability to travel regularly around Chester and the surrounding area.
