Summary
We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Junior Sister/Charge Nurse to join our Radiology Department at St Albans City Hospital.
This role offers the opportunity to provide high-quality, individualised care to patients, relatives, and carers, while working closely with a diverse multidisciplinary team including radiographers, consultant radiologists, radiographic departmental assistants, and administrative staff.
You will play an integral role in ensuring safe, effective, and patient-centred care within Radiology, while supporting and supervising junior staff.

Previous experience in Radiology is essential.
• Provide nursing support and clinical expertise to enable high-quality, safe care for patients undergoing diagnostic procedures.
• Work alongside the multidisciplinary team to support and coordinate services within Radiology.
• Assist in leading and supervising junior members of staff, promoting education, development, and good practice.
• Act as a role model, delivering direct clinical care and supporting patients with complex needs.
• Support patient flow and service delivery across multiple sites when required (Watford, Hemel Hempstead).
• Respond to patient, carer, or relative concerns with professionalism and sensitivity, escalating where appropriate.
