Summary

Year 5 Class Teacher (Full-Time – Summer Term)

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 5 Teacher to join our team for the Summer Term, starting 13th April until July. This is a full-time, fixed-term position and would suit a committed professional who is passionate about delivering high-quality teaching and learning.

  • End Date: July (end of academic year)


    About the Role

    You will be responsible for teaching a Year 5 class and ensuring high standards of progress and attainment.

    • Planning and delivering engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum


    • Core subjects for Year 6 are already planned


    • Some planning required for foundation subjects


    • Marking and assessment responsibilities are non-negotiable and must be completed in line with school policy


    • Contributing to the wider life of the school


      ✅ The Ideal Candidate Will:
      • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)


      • Have experience teaching in Key Stage 2 (preferably Year 5 or Year 6)


      • Demonstrate strong classroom management skills


      • Be organised, proactive, and committed to maintaining high standards


      • Be confident in assessment and feedback practices
