Summary

Personal Assistant (PA)/Support Worker

About the Direct Payment Holder 13 year old young person with a diagnosis of profound bilateral sensori‑neural hearing loss, acquired brain injury, global developmental delay and a likely autism diagnosis soon.
M enjoys arts and crafts like jewellery making drawing, colouring and making loom bands, fun days out like theme parks, ten pin bowling, cinema and the seaside
Hours and rate of pay hours £12.50 per hour, 83 hours to be used flexibly at either the weekend and/or school holiday time.
An Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check will be required.

Location Whittlesford, CB22 area
DBS/Checks Confirmation of DBS check
Right to Work and references will be needed.
What you would be doing… Supporting with getting out in the community, life skills and days out, helping to boost confidence, to broaden her interests and support to develop her independence skills.
Required skills and experience Knowledge/Experience of Acquired Brain Injury.
British sign language is desirable but not essential.
Driving License and use of own car is essential (Car insurance with business use is a mandatory requirement).
It is very important that you are reliable, have good timekeeping, strong communication skills, a bubbly personality, a good sense of humour, and a kind and caring nature, with similar interests to M so that she can relate to you.
