Job Title: Domestic Helper
Location: IP29 4, a village just outside of Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk.
Rate of pay: £15.65 per hour
Hours / days: Mondays and Thursdays 11:30 – 13:00, and possibly every other Saturday 14:30-16:00. There is a degree of flexibility to these hours.
About the role
I am looking for a positive, friendly and hard-working person to help me with domestic chores.
The ideal candidate should be reliable, adaptable, have an eye for detail and work to a high standard independently. They will be required to clean my 2-bedroom bungalow and perform other general household tasks. Please note there is no personal care involved in this position. Candidates must be animal friendly.
General duties and responsibilities will include:
• Hoovering
• Dusting
• Mopping
• Cleaning the kitchen and bathroom
• Making my bed/changing bed sheets
• Light gardening

• Good organisational skills
• Reliable
• Hard working
• An eye for detail
• Adaptable
• Ability to work to a high standard independently
Summary terms and conditions:
• The rate of pay for this position £15.65 per hour
• Mondays and Thursdays 11:30 – 13:00, and possibly every other Saturday 14:30-16:00.
• Overtime will be available
• The annual holiday entitlement for this position will be equivalent to the work normally done during 5.6 weeks (statutory entitlement)
The post is subject to the following:
• A satisfactory enhanced DBS check is required for this position, the cost will be covered by the employer
• Post is subject to a 3-month probation period
• The successful applicant will be required to provide details of two referees from recent employers
