Summary

We're looking for a Delivery Technician to join our North Northamptonshire Highways Maintenance team based in Wellingborough. In this role, you'll help ensure the safe, high‑quality delivery of our works by applying Kier's Health & Safety, Quality, and Environmental policies and procedures. You'll be responsible for checking and validating work instructions before they are issued to repair teams, as well as carrying out site inspections and audits to confirm compliance with our standards.



Location: Wellingborough Depot, North Northamptonshire - travel to the office required with some remote working available

Hours: 40 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us

What will you be responsible for?

As a Delivery Technician, you'll work as part of a small team, supporting the Senior Delivery Technician and Delivery Manager in planning and coordinating essential maintenance projects while ensuring quality, safety, and environmental standards are consistently met.

Your day to day includes:

-Planning and scheduling maintenance works using dedicated management systems

-Coordinating small carriageway and footway surfacing projects

-Ensuring works comply with specifications and quality standards

-Conducting site-based inspections and verification checks

-Collaborating with colleagues to find cost-effective maintenance solutions



What are we looking for?

This role of Delivery Technician is ideal if you:

-Hold a Site Managers Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) qualification

-Possess Traffic Management 12D M7 (Lantra) certification

-Are comfortable using MS Office and other IT systems

-Enjoy working as part of a supportive team

-Are passionate about delivering quality results and continuous improvement
