Inspire EHC are proud to partner with a dedicated Special Educational Needs (SEN) school based in Mid Norfolk, Norfolk, currently seeking a SEN Teaching Assistant (TA). This role offers an exciting opportunity to support pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs within a caring and supportive setting.

Our client is an established SEN school serving a small community of 11 - 35 pupils, committed to providing tailored, high-quality support that meets each child's individual needs.

Location: Mid Norfolk, Norfolk

Key Responsibilities

Provide support to pupils with SEMH needs in the classroom and onsite.

Implement individualised behaviour management strategies.

Support with personal care where required.

Promote independence and positive social interaction.

Work collaboratively with teachers and wider staff teams.

Monitor and record progress, behaviour, and wellbeing.

Support pupils with personalised learning programmes, adapting approaches when needed.

Assist in developing pupils' communication and social skills.

Help maintain a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment.

Contribute to an inclusive atmosphere that encourages emotional and behavioural growth.

What We're Looking For

Experience supporting pupils with SEMH or behavioural needs.

Strong understanding of behaviour management within SEN settings.

A compassionate, patient, and resilient approach.

Ability to build trusting relationships with young people.

Flexibility to adapt to pupils' changing needs.

Good communication and teamworking skills.

Previous experience in support roles, ideally within SEN.

Relevant SEN qualifications or training (desirable but not essential).

Due to the rural nature of this school, your own transport is required.
