Summary
This role offers the opportunity to: Lead and influence safeguarding practice across the Trust and in partnership with colleagues across the Isle of Wight, ensuring a cohesive, high-quality approach across the Group Provide expert advice on complex cases, legal frameworks, and policy, supporting consistent decision-making across both trusts Drive the development and implementation of a shared safeguarding strategy, including aligned policies, training, supervision, governance, and quality improvement programmes Contribute to serious case reviews, thematic reviews, audits, and organisational learning, ensuring lessons are translated into system-wide improvements Champion a culture of reflective practice, professional curiosity, and continuous improvement across services and sites We are looking for a highly credible practitioner with advanced safeguarding expertise, strong strategic leadership skills, and the ability to influence across organisational boundaries. You will be confident in providing constructive challenge, fostering collaboration, and inspiring others to deliver high-quality safeguarding practice.
