South Staffordshire College is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Lecturer in Agricultural Engineering to join our dynamic team, delivering high-quality teaching across a range of Level 2 & 3 programmes.

Based in our well-equipped agricultural engineering workshops, this role involves delivering a blend of practical and theoretical sessions. We are looking for an innovative educator who can design and deliver engaging lessons that inspire and challenge learners, helping them to develop both technical skills and a deep understanding of the subject.

You will be responsible for following agreed schemes of work, assessment plans, and student monitoring procedures to ensure learners achieve and exceed their target grades.
We welcome applications from individuals with a strong background in the agricultural engineering industry. You may not have teaching experience yet, but if you have a passion for sharing your knowledge and supporting the next generation of engineers, we’d love to hear from you.

Key qualities we’re looking for:

• A relevant professional qualification in Agricultural Engineering or a related
field.
• Industry experience within the agricultural or land-based engineering sector.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to motivate and support young learners, monitoring their progress
and helping them succeed.
• A commitment to high standards and continuous improvement.
• Confidence in using technology to enhance teaching and learning.

A teaching qualification is not essential, but you must be willing to work towards one in line with current regulations.
If you bring energy, enthusiasm, and a genuine passion for agricultural engineering and education, we would be delighted to hear from you!

We have a generous holiday scheme, the usual Bank Holidays, an additional 5 days at Christmas and 2 ‘ME’ days (where you can have a day off work and do whatever makes you happy) as well as an additional day on campus spent on wellbeing. We have a range of benefits available to all staff including paid time off for emergencies (designed to support carers) and all our policies are enhanced further than statutory requirements.
