Summary

Join us as a Marketing and Content Officer and play a key role in shaping the reputation and profile of our new School of Veterinary Medicine. Working as part of the Marketing Team, you will lead on social media management and content creation for the School, helping to attract future students and build a strong, engaged community including veterinary professionals, veterinary industry and animal science-based stakeholders.

You will be the main point of contact for marketing activity within the School, working collaboratively with academic and professional colleagues to deliver creative, impactful campaigns across digital channels. From developing content calendars and producing engaging copy, video and visual assets, to supporting recruitment and partnership engagement events and evaluating campaign performance, you will have the opportunity to make a visible and meaningful impact in a fast-growing area of the University.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys getting stuck in, building relationships, and helping to establish a new school’s voice and reputation.

This role will involve working in and around clinical and teaching environments, so you will need to be comfortable around animals and have a genuine interest in veterinary medicine and animal health.

About you:

We are looking for a creative and collaborative marketing professional with strong experience in social media management and content creation. You will bring excellent communication skills, a community-focused approach and the confidence to work with a wide range of stakeholders to co-create engaging marketing activity.

You will be genuinely interested in the field of veterinary medicine, comfortable working in animal-related environments, and motivated by the opportunity to help build the reputation of a new and ambitious school. Highly organised and adaptable, you will be comfortable managing multiple projects and deadlines, while maintaining a strong focus on quality, impact and continuous improvement. A background in higher education marketing is desirable, but not essential — we are more interested in your ideas, energy and commitment to building something new.

An undergraduate degree or equivalent experiential learning in a related discipline is required for this role.
