We are a long established family run business, serving a wide range of industries. We offer 1 off bespoke manufacture and small batch machining and fabrications in a wide range of materials,
Basic Skills required:
· Read technical drawings and various other specs and verbal instructions to execute machining and forming requirements
· Familiar with programming CNC machines Heidenhain & Mazatrol systems
· Familiar with DRO interfaces
· Familiar with machining techniques
· Use of appropriate cutting tools for material and machine type
· Familiar with commonly used Quality Management processes
Duties and responsibilities
· Operating various milling machines, turning machines and boring machines
· Use of accurate measuring tools and devices
· Use of measuring equipment, basic mathematical skills to work out needed dimensions
· Basic record keeping, to allow traceability
· Basic maintenance machinery employed
Specialised skills
· Knowledge of material behaviour during machining
· Correct materials selection
· Safe working practice knowledge for type of operation
· Forklift truck operations
