About the Direct Payment Holder A young adult with autism, non-verbal communication, and high-level support needs is looking for two male Support Workers to provide 2:1 care at all times. The individual requires consistent, structured support and carers with experience in managing potentially challenging behaviours.
Hours and rate of pay Term-time (Mon–Fri): 2 hours per evening (after college)
Non term-time (Mon–Fri): 6 hours per day
Weekends (Sat/Sun): 6 hours per day
Location Watford (WD19)
DBS/Checks Confirmation of DBS check
Right to Work and references will be needed.
Training Training will be offered to enable to complete the mandatory training required:
• Safeguarding Children
• Introduction to first aid / Paediatric first aid
• Health and Safety / Moving and handling

What you would be doing…
Providing personal care and daily living support
Assisting with structured routines and activities
Supporting communication for a non-verbal individual
Managing and responding appropriately to potentially challenging behaviours
Ensuring safety and wellbeing at all times

Required skills and experience
Male carers preferred

Must have experience supporting individuals with autism, non-verbal communication, and high-level needs
Confident in managing challenging behaviours
Reliable, patient, and consistent in approach
Able to work effectively as part of a 2:1 support team
