Description
The Senior Enforcement Officer (Gr H/I) plays a critical role in ensuring compliance with laws and regulations within our organization. This position requires a highly motivated individual with strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of enforcement procedures. The ideal candidate will work in collaboration with various departments, agencies, and stakeholders to enforce policies, conduct inspections, and handle enforcement actions. In this position, you will lead a team of enforcement officers, providing guidance and training to ensure that all actions are carried out effectively and efficiently. You will be responsible for developing enforcement strategies and conducting investigations into violations, while also maintaining accurate records and reports. The Senior Enforcement Officer will engage with the public, responding to inquiries and providing information on regulations, while also representing the organization in hearings and legal proceedings. With strong leadership skills, you will foster a culture of compliance and integrity within the team and will be instrumental in improving enforcement processes and outcomes. Responsibilities
Lead and supervise a team of enforcement officers in executing regulations and compliance initiatives.
Conduct thorough investigations into violations of laws, regulations, and policies, documenting findings and preparing reports.
Develop and implement enforcement strategies and action plans to address compliance issues effectively.
Review and analyze complex data and evidence to support enforcement actions and decisions.
Engage with stakeholders to ensure understanding of compliance expectations and provide guidance as needed.
Represent the organization in hearings, court proceedings, and when communicating with external agencies and stakeholders.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of enforcement activities, recommending improvements to processes and policies.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in law, public administration, criminal justice, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in enforcement, compliance, or a regulatory role, with supervisory experience highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and enforcement procedures and practices.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and prepare comprehensive reports and presentations.
Proven leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and guide employees effectively.
Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions in high-pressure situations.
