SEN Teaching Assistant - Specialist School in WalsallFull‑Time | Long‑Term | Immediate StartA well‑established special school in Walsall is looking for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team. This specialist setting supports children and young people aged 11 to 19, many of whom have complex learning needs, autism, physical disabilities, sensory needs, or additional communication requirements.About the RoleAs an SEN Teaching Assistant in this Walsall specialist environment, you will:
- Support pupils aged 11-19 with complex learning needs, ASD, PMLD, SLD, sensory needs, and communication difficulties
- Work closely with teachers and therapy teams to deliver personalised learning programmes
- Assist with structured routines, sensory regulation activities, mobility support, and communication strategies
- Provide reassurance, consistency, and patience to help young people feel safe and supported
- Offer personal care where required (full training provided)

- Have proven SEN experience in a special school, PRU, or specialist provision
- Are confident supporting older pupils and young adults with a wide range of additional needs
- Can remain calm, patient, and responsive
- Build strong, positive relationships with both pupils and staff

- Genuinely enjoy helping young people grow in confidence, independence, and communication
