Summary
All about the role:We are seeking to appoint a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to work in a Behaviour/ Pastoral Support role across the school.
This role will involve implementing specialist strategies to reduce barriers to learning, promote inclusion, and support pupils whose behaviour or emotional regulation presents a significant challenge to themselves and others.
The postholder will work flexibly across year groups, supporting pupils with social, emotional, mental health (SEMH) and behavioural needs, including during periods of heightened distress or dysregulation. The role requires calm, consistent practice and the ability to manage challenging and, at times, emotionally demanding situations.
The successful candidate will also receive training to join the school’s Safeguarding Team as a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL).
This is a highly responsible role requiring resilience, discretion and a strong commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing.
Hours of work: : Your working hours would be 8.45am – 11.45 and 12.15pm -3.15pm Monday to Friday (30 hours/week) in order to cover part of lunchtime. You will work for 38 weeks during term time and be paid for 5.7 weeks holiday.
