Our #TeamBirchview relief pool is growing, so we've now got relief job opportunities in Elgin. The great thing about our relief contracts is they give you flexibility. You tell us when you're available and we would then try to give you shifts to fit.

Shift Patterns

We provide dedicated around the clock support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, so our shift patterns do involve early mornings, evenings, weekends, public holidays, sleepovers and waking nights.

The role, the team and the individuals you'll support

As a relief colleague, you will play an important part in our team, ensuring that we still provide the best care and support possible during times of staff training, holidays and absence.

You'll become part of a fun, friendly team who provide short-term respite care for individuals with various physical and learning disabilities. Our team are dedicated to make sure that everyone’s stay is one to remember.

Your aim will be to give support with all aspects of daily living, encouraging independence and helping them to reach their goals and potential. You’ll also support the individuals to take part in various activities throughout their stay, including bowling, going to the cinema and going out for a cuppa to name a few.

Successful candidates will be required to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme and be committed to working towards an SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare with the support from our Training Academy.

If you're successful in joining our team, we will need you to register with the SSSC within 3 months of starting your employment with us.
