Summary

We're looking for a Claims Handler to join our Highways team based in Brixworth, Northamptonshire.



Location: Brixworth, Northamptonshire - travel to the office required with some remote working available

Hours: Permanent 37.5 hours per week - we welcome part‑time applications and those interested in working condensed hours. We also offer some flexibility around working patterns, so just let us know your preferences when we speak.

Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 FTE per year + excellent benefits

Are you a detail-oriented professional looking to grow your career in a supportive environment? As a Claims Handler, you'll play a vital role in our Highways team, managing claims effectively while providing outstanding service to all our stakeholders.



What will you be responsible for?

As a Claims Handler, you'll manage a caseload delivering fair and timely resolution of highway claims.

Your day to day will include:

-Managing a caseload of highway claims from initial notification through to completion, including assessment of liability

-Negotiating settlements within agreed authority levels to ensure fair outcomes

-Building collaborative relationships with clients as their trusted point of contact

-Maintaining accurate and detailed claim records within our reporting systems

-Providing clear communication and supportive guidance to all stakeholders

-Can produce clear, accurate reports and maintain thorough claim records

-Are proficient in Microsoft Office applications

-Have strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to provide clear, well‑reasoned decisions

-Deliver excellent customer service with a professional and empathetic approach

-Possess strong organisational skills and can prioritise and manage your workload effectively
