Summary
Service Advisor / Aftersales Advisor — Reading — Up to £30,000 DOE (Mon–Fri 08:00–16:30 + 1‑in‑4 Sat 08:00–13:00, Permanent)
Join a busy passenger‑car aftersales team in Reading as a Service Advisor / Aftersales Advisor / Automotive Service Advisor / Service Receptionist / Service Controller. You’ll maximise workshop capacity, keep customers informed, and identify additional work professionally and ethically—all within a supportive dealership environment with manufacturer training and clear progression.
The role — Service Advisor / Aftersales Advisor / Automotive Service Advisor
• Book vehicles into the workshop to match capacity and customer availability
• Handle customer updates face‑to‑face and by phone; confirm timescales and costs
• Produce accurate job cards, estimates, invoices and warranty paperwork
• Review VHC findings and convert appropriate work with clear, transparent communication
• Liaise with parts and workshop to maintain smooth workflow and on‑time repairs
• Manage WIP, follow up proactively, and support high customer satisfaction scores
What you’ll bring
• Experience as a Service Advisor / Aftersales Advisor / Service Receptionist in a dealership or independent workshop
• Excellent customer service and communication; calm, organised and commercially aware
• Accurate admin skills with job cards and documentation; confident discussing additional work
• DMS knowledge (e.g., Kerridge/Keyloop) advantageous but not essential
Pay, hours & type
• Salary: up to £30,000 per year (DOE)
• Hours: Monday–Friday 08:00–16:30 + 1 in 4 Saturdays 08:00–13:00
• Job type: Full‑time, permanent
