Summary
We are recruiting motivated and confident Customer Service Advisers for a client of ours based in Reading. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals with strong customer service skills - ideally from a call centre or fast paced environment who thrive on resolving queries and delivering an exceptional service.
In this role, you will play a key part in resolving customer billing issues, ensuring accurate and reliable bills, and supporting internal teams with their billing-related questions. Your attention to detail and ability to handle complex information will be essential.
This is a contract position that will last for a minimum of 6 months. There is an opportunity to work from home 2-3 days a week.
Key Responsibilities
- Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies, ensuring all information is accurate and aligned with internal reports.
- Act as an internal point of contact for billing queries, taking ownership of the resolution process from start to finish.
- Verify and process billing adjustments, including issuing credits or debits, and communicate outcomes clearly to customers.
- Share knowledge on billing practices and contribute to efficient team processes.
- Identify patterns, trends, and areas for continuous improvement.
What We're Looking For
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyse data for discrepancies or trends.
- Confident communicator, able to collaborate effectively and explain complex information clearly.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
- Experience in the energy or utilities sector is desirable but not essential.
