Summary
You will be required to work within the families homes which are located on a supported housing scheme and across North Hull area. You will need experience of working with children and families and an awareness of the statutory responsibilities towards safeguarding children.
You will work as part of a team, enabling and supporting families that are vulnerable and in need of support. The team does provide a flexible approach to the support to children, young people and their families, enabling families to stay together and work through their difficulties. We offer and provide good supervision and support in a positive team environment.
You will need to demonstrate:
Experience of supporting vulnerable children and families
Confidence to deal with difficult situations
Knowledge of safeguarding vulnerable people
Experience of liaising with other agencies and partners including statutory services and voluntary and community sector agencies in Hull
Creativity in meeting complex individual and community needs
Ability to work as part of a team
Reliability and ability to work flexibly.
