A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF
I am an 83-year-old man living in the Hirwaun area I live with my wife, my family live near by I have 1 son, 1 grandson and a niece who is like a daughter to me.
The next-door neighbours’ cat is a frequent visitor to our house. In my earlier years I was a general foreman in the local Quarry. I have been diagnosed with Lewy body dementia and have a view Discs in my back that have degenerated which causes me pain at times. I am unsteady sometimes on my feet and will need support when going up the stairs. I am laid back and easy going and get on well with people.
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To sit with me while my wife has some respite.
HOURS OF WORK
6 hours a week (3 hours a day over 2 days)
RATES OF PAY
£14.75 per hour
TASKS CAN INCLUDE
Making me a cup of coffee
Keep me company
Support helping me up the stairs and to the toilet.
TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRED

Bubbly and friendly personality
ABOUT THE JOB
This will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A trial period of six months will be necessary in the first instance. The wage will be paid for four weeks in return for a pay slip provided by the Centre for Independent Living. You will receive appropriate holidays and holiday pay. This post is subject to an enhanced police check (DBS) and training may be required if identified by the employer.
