Summary

What skills and experience we're looking for

We are seeking a committed and knowledgeable Teacher of Mathematics to join our school from September 2026. This permanent position, offered at 0.8 – 1.0 FTE, provides an exciting opportunity to contribute to a well‑established, high‑performing department and to support students as they develop strong mathematical understanding and confidence.

The ability to teach Post‑16 Further Mathematics would be highly desirable, though not essential.

The following are essential:

Qualified Teacher Status (or pendingECT/QTS outcome)

Experience in an 11-16 school

A good first degree in a related subject

Evidence of knowledge and capabilities relating to teaching KS3 and KS4 Maths

Clarity of purpose and a student-centred vision

Good personal and interpersonal skills.

Good oral and written communication

Good levels of numeracy, literacy and ICT

Good time-management and personal organisation

Must support the school’s aims and values, setting a good example of attendance, punctuality and appearance

Evidenced up-to-date knowledge of the curriculum and understanding of effective teaching and learning strategies to meet the needs of learners appearance

Demonstrate a determined attitude towards life and show great resilience

Must have a great work ethic and enjoy working hard
