We have an exciting opportunity for a Commissioning and Quality Assurance Officer to join our Community Commissioning Team within the Department for Health and Adult Care.

Duties:
You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of Providers that includes Residential and Nursing Homes, Supported Living Providers, Care at Home, Extra Care and Local Charities. You will build strong working relationships with your care providers, assessing the quality of their service and supporting the improvement and development of provision in Bury. Monitoring contracts, resolving complaints and driving the development of the Bury Adult Social Care Market to meet the needs of the population now, and in the future. The work you will do is incredibly varied: you will be visiting Supported Living settings, Residential Care homes, Care at Home providers, Extra Care settings working alongside social workers and negotiating with Providers, it all comes back to improving services and offering the best care to continue a good quality of life.
About you:
You will have excellent communication and organisational skills and be used to working within and across teams. You will also have experience of building and maintaining relationships with a wide range of people including people using our services, their relatives, carers, social workers, and care providers. You will be experienced in using your own initiative and contributing ideas which will improve services, you will be able to manage multiple pieces of work and competing priorities at any one time.

Normal hours of work are 37 hours per week based around the usual business working week. Dependent on service requirements, you may be required to work on a rota basis.
