Summary
An exciting opportunity as arisen for anAdministratorApprentice to join the Thurrock Healthy Families 0-19 service. This is 18 month fixed term contract. We welcome applications from individuals wishing to become an Apprentice and gain experience in the NHS. You will develop new skills and knowledge whilst working with an established team gaining valuable work experience and a recognized apprenticeship qualification.
The post holder will support the Health Visiting Team with all administrative duties under supervision.
Learn how to support the team by maintaining service information systems, data bases and other recording tools, which may include the Clinical reporting Systems, Excel and other systems, by ensuring that all data recorded is accurate and reported in a timely manner.
To understand how to organise and administer events as requested.
Collate information for reports and research documents
• Learn how to deliver a client-focused service which promotes good customer care and reduces barriers to communication.
• Demonstrate and maintain positive and effective working relationships.
• Understand and ensure that correct procedures are followed regarding the storing and maintaining of data.
• Learn how to maintain efficient administrative systems by creating, maintaining, filing, archiving data.
• Identify how to transfer and locate missing notes and action as requested by staff.
• Understand the importance of confidentiality and ensure data is maintained at all times.
• Learn how to type correspondence, agendas, minutes, papers and reports as required by line manager.
• Identify how to produce and compile system generated letters with minor amendments as requested.
• Understand and demonstrate the importance of highlighting any operational concerns regarding administrative systems that may need reviewing.
• Distribute satisfaction questionnaires and audits as instructed.
• Open and sort post, fax and photocopy as required.
• Cover other teams/services, where necessary, which may require working on other sites.
Starting with NELFT
NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop in sessions focusing in engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.
Probationary Period
This post will be subject to a probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt from the probationary period (unless you are an internal applicant currently part way through a probationary period or currently a bank member of staff).
High Cost Area Supplement – London
This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary with a minimum payment of £4,551 and a maximum payment of £5,735 per annum pro rata.
