Summary
Blackpool and The Fylde College (B&FC) is currently seeking a passionate and innovative Lecturer in English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) to join our dedicated team. This post has become available due to the current colleague securing their dream position abroad, and you will be joining a small, friendly and high‑performing team. The role involves delivering ESOL, Living and Working in the UK, and Employability Skills to ESOL learners living across Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre, with teaching taking place at our Seasiders Learning Centre, Fleetwood Hub, and in a variety of community locations.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
As a Lecturer in English, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality teaching and support to our students. Your main duties will involve:
Delivering and managing inclusive teaching, learning, and assessment across a range of English programmes to a high standard.
Assisting in curriculum design, development, and quality improvement to enhance student experience and outcomes.
Supporting student recruitment, retention, achievement, and progression, offering targeted guidance and support.
Effectively using digital and face-to-face teaching tools (e.g., VLE, progress tracking systems) to drive student success.
Contributing to the academic community through scholarship, research, and professional practice.
