Your new company
An established Housing Association is seeking an experienced Compliance Assistant or Compliance Officer to join their team on a short‑term contract, with strong potential for extension.This role is ideal for someone with a background in housing compliance, safety certification, asset management, or repairs and maintenance compliance, who can quickly step in and support a busy team.
Your new role
- Support the delivery and monitoring of statutory compliance across housing stock
- Assist with compliance data, reporting, and updating internal systems
- Coordinate safety programmes including Gas, EICR, Legionella, Asbestos, and Fire Safety
- Liaise with contractors and internal teams to ensure certifications are completed on schedule
- Track, monitor, and chase outstanding compliance actions
- Provide administrative and organisational support to the wider asset and property teams
- Ensure all documentation meets regulatory and audit standards
What you'll need to succeed
- Experience in a Housing Association / Local Authority compliance role
- Strong understanding of property safety legislation and compliance processes
- Confident using housing/asset management systems and Excel
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage competing deadlines
What you'll get in return

- £24 per hour (PAYE) depending on experience
