YOUR ROLE



Are you passionate about driving change and continuous improvement? We are looking for a Business Process Excellence Engineer to join our team in Ashby, supporting operations across multiple sites around the country. This is a dynamic, hands-on role where you will lead improvement initiatives, work closely with key stakeholders to implement change, and drive the deployment of best practices across the network.



This position operates Monday to Friday, with flexibility required to travel and support multiple sites as needed.



WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?



Lead and deliver Continuous Improvement initiatives
Conduct diagnostic reviews, time and motion studies design and hands-on implementation activity to drive measurable operational improvements.
Support sites with the deployment and ongoing development of the SCA programme, ensuring alignment to best practice standards.
Facilitate and support Kaizen events, ensuring effective follow-up and measurable outcomes.
Implement and deliver training on LEAN and Continuous Improvement principles across operational sites.
Provide on-site operational support, re-engineering and improving existing solutions to enhance efficiency and performance.
Champion the use the CI tool, supporting sites in its deployment and effective utilisation.
Support creation and development of training materials in line with LEAN principles where required
Evaluate and communicate business performance against SCA, Kaizen, PRIMO and process standards at local, sector and cluster levels.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement, innovation and best practice sharing across the organisation.
Collaborate cross-functionally to enhance operating models and deliver sustainable improvements.
Support Contract Review Assessments and other improvement initiatives as required.



WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?



Our ideal candidate is a results-driven Continuous Improvement professional with recognised LEAN qualifications, ideally Green Belt level (Six Sigma Green Belt or working towards) and certified Lean Practitioner status. You will bring proven experience delivering CI initiatives within operational or logistics environments, confidently leading Kaizen events and embedding structured improvement methodologies. A strong understanding of LEAN tools such as root cause analysis, value stream mapping, 5S and standard work is essential, along with experience working within formal CI governance frameworks.



You will be analytical, data-driven and comfortable influencing stakeholders at all levels. We’re looking for someone who can move seamlessly from diagnostic and solution design into hands-on implementation, while also coaching and training teams on LEAN principles. Strong communication skills, performance reporting capability and the ability to drive sustainable cultural change across sites are key to success in this role.
