Summary
The successful candidate will work on a mix of manufacturing projects, mainly in-house, but with some on-site fitting.
Main Responsibilities:
Perform complex and precise assembly tasks, including the integration of mechanical, electrical, and some electronic components.
Follow detailed assembly instructions, drawings and technical documentation to ensure high-quality results.
Operate assembly equipment and specialised tools, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
Identify and troubleshoot assembly issues, implementing corrective actions as needed to maintain product integrity.
Working closely with engineers, designers, and other technicians to solve technical challenges and optimise assembly processes and provide feedback on design and assembly processes to support continuous improvement initiatives.
Maintain accurate records of assembly processes, test results, and any deviations from standard procedures.
Update assembly documentation and work instructions as needed to reflect process improvements or changes.
Ensure a safe working environment adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in assembly and manufacturing processes.
Skills/Qualifications/Experience
Experience in a similar assembly role.
Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and assembly
Experience in basic electrical/electronics
Manual machining capabilities
Strong hands-on experience with a variety of assembly tools and Equipment.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Driving licence
Forklift licence preferred
Expected hours: 37 per week
