Birmingham Museums Trust is looking for F&B Assistants (Craft & Culture) to join our team based at The Museum of The Jewellery Quarter.
You will support the delivery of the guest experience at Craft & Culture, helping to bring our full day-to-night offer across coffee, craft beer and wine to life. Your focus will be on creating a welcoming, high-quality environment that reflects our values of craft, creativity and community, ensuring every guest receives a consistent and memorable experience.
You will play a key role in delivering a high-quality, guest-focused Food & Beverage offer. Your priority will be to ensure every visitor and guest receives a safe, engaging and professional experience, supporting strong standards across service, product knowledge and presentation.
You will support Craft & Culture in delivering a commercially competitive and financially sustainable operation. This includes contributing to sales targets while maintaining exceptional levels of customer service and operational standards.
This is a service-first role, with a strong focus on the day-to-day running of the venue. You will take pride in delivering warm, engaging and professional hospitality, ensuring every interaction helps build our reputation and encourages repeat visits.
Success in this role will be measured through financial performance and related KPIs, alongside guest satisfaction, strong teamwork and operational excellence.
What we are looking for:
Previous experience of delivering excellent customer service
Ability to serve guests across all aspects of the offer, including coffee, craft beer, wine and events, while maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation.
Confidently use EPOS and IT systems to ensure accurate sales, reporting and stock control.
Support stock management processes, including assisting with stock takes, processing deliveries and maintaining well-organised storage areas.
Develop strong product knowledge across the drinks and food offer, including allergens and dietary requirements, ensuring guests are supported with confidence and care.
Support the delivery of events, private hire and programming, including evenings and weekends, ensuring a consistently high standard during busy and high-profile periods.
