Summary
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administrative skills who enjoys working in a fast-paced clinical environment. You'll be supporting a multidisciplinary team and playing a key role in ensuring safe and efficient prescription processes.
Location: Preston, LancashireHours: Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm (occasional evening and weekend working.)Contract: 5 months (The contract may be extended depending on service needs) Pay Rate: negotiable between £14 to £18/hr PAYE or umbrella
Your new roleSupport the production and management of prescriptions, including batch processing and updates following clinical reviews.Maintain accurate prescription generation processes across the service.Assist with setting up and maintaining prescription management systems.Act as the first point of contact for prescription-related queries.Handle incoming calls and visitors professionally.Complete data entry, correspondence processing, and general administrative duties.Take minutes at clinical and partnership meetings when required.Collate and report service data and statistics.Liaise with internal teams and external suppliers.Support booking systems for doctors' appointments and reviews.Provide administrative support to clinical staff.Supervise administration volunteers where needed.
Essential skills and experience
Experience working with prescriptions or within healthcare / clinical settingConfident IT skills, including Word, Excel, and data entry.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Highly organised with strong attention to detail.Able to work independently and as part of a team.Professional, empatheticFlexible and able to adapt to service needs.IT or office administration qualification is desirable.
