Summary
Position: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Plaistow
Start Date: ASAP
Schedule: Monday - Friday
We're currently looking for SEN Teaching Assistants to start immediately at a mainstream secondary school, supporting their students in either the mainstream classroom or the Resource Provision (RP).
You'll be working with students with severe and complex needs, including:
- Non-verbal & speech & language support
- Wheelchair users
- Autism with high sensory needs or emotional regulation challenges
- Use of AAC (PECS, Makaton, communication boards, voice-output devices)
- Highly differentiated learning, sensory-based or life-skills focused
This is a challenging but incredibly rewarding opportunity to make a genuine impact in young people's lives every single day. Prior experience is desirable due to the needs of the students.
