Summary

About the role:

We have an exciting opportunity to work within the Creative Industries Support Team at the University of Lancashire.

The post holder will play a crucial role, as a part of our highly skilled Technical Services team, in supporting the audio technology facilities predominantly centred around the Media Factory building on the Preston campus. The post holder will specifically be involved in a technical instruction role working with and developing a wide range of audio technologies in studio environments including live sound, recording studios, project studios, foley, and audio for television, radio, filmmaking. animation and games design.

The successful candidate will be primarily focussed on supporting undergraduate classes for media, design and performing arts students, but there may also be involvement with supporting students studying fine art, fashion, photography and journalism.

About you:

The successful candidate will be naturally inquisitive and will possess extensive experience, skills and knowledge in the use and support of relevant equipment and facilities associated with an audio technology environment. They will have the ability to work with initiative and independently and work co-operatively within a team.

You will need to have an undergraduate degree in a relevant subject or equivalent experiential learning, along with having an AVID Pro Tools trainer certification or a willingness to work towards.
