Summary


Position: Teaching Assistant Level 2 Grade C (SCP 3-5 £24796 - £25583 fte) to support a child with ECHP.

Contract Type: Fixed Term contract to 31st August 2028

Contract Terms: 27.5 hours per week term time only.

Required form: A.S.A.P.

Closing Date: 12pm Friday 6th March 2026.

Interviews: To take place on Wednesday 11th March and Thursday 12th March 2026.

The governors of Belmont Primary School, wish to appoint an SSA to support children at the school. This person will work 1:1 with a child or with a small group of children. We want an individual who is nurturing, passionate, highly motivated, enthusiastic, and hardworking to join our team. Experience of working with children with social and emotional mental health difficulties would be an advantage.

Belmont is a small mixed class rural village school on the edge of the West Pennine Moors.

We are looking for an SNA who:

  • Has an understanding of education
  • Experience of working with children
  • Enjoys working with children.
  • A willingness to learn about specific needs in children and implement strategies to help children make progress.
  • Is able to keep accurate records and willing to complete necessary paperwork.
