About the Team
The Digital team is central to the mission of the National Autistic Society. We look after our main website and a wide range of digital platforms that support all areas of the charity, including advice and support, campaigns, professional and commercial services, schools and education, and adult support services. Our platforms are often the first place people turn for help, so it is vital that every online interaction is trusted, inclusive, and safe.
About the Role
This role is about the day-to-day delivery of work for a very busy website and a wide range of digital platforms. As a CMS expert, you will take ownership of both routine updates and more complex changes, making sure every page we publish is accurate, accessible, and up to date. You will act as a trusted point of support for colleagues across the charity, empowering them to manage their own content effectively. It is a proactive and varied position that ensures our digital presence remains a high-quality resource for the whole autism community.
What You’ll Do
- Managing and responding to incoming web requests to provide timely support to teams across the charity.
- Building, updating, and maintaining web pages and forms in the CMS to ensure they are accurate and accessible for our schools, services, and advice teams.
- Acting as a quality gatekeeper for all published content, ensuring high standards of accessibility, accuracy, and design consistency.
What We’re Looking For
- Hands-on experience using a content management system to build and maintain web pages.
- A solid understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG) and how to apply them in practice.
- A good grasp of website fundamentals, including SEO, metadata, and managing broken links or redirects
