Deputy Nursery Manager - Up to £37,000

You’ll split your time between being present in rooms and overseeing standards across the setting, working closely with the Nursery Manager to keep quality high and the team focused. The role carries real responsibility, with space to shape practice and support an experienced group of practitioners.
Before You Apply
- A full and relevant Level 3 qualification in Early Years (or above) is required.
- You must have proven leadership experience within a nursery setting.
- This position is not suitable for practitioners without senior-level responsibility.

What You’ll Need
- Full and relevant Level 3 qualification in Early Years or above
- Experience as a Deputy Nursery Manager, Room Leader, or similar senior role
- Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and safeguarding requirements
- Confidence leading teams and addressing performance issues
- Experience supporting inspections and maintaining compliance
What You’ll Do
- Support the Nursery Manager with daily operational leadership
- Lead staff practice across rooms to maintain EYFS standards
- Monitor safeguarding, health and safety, and compliance
- Mentor and supervise room leaders and practitioners
- Contribute to staffing, ratios, and routine management
- Build professional relationships with parents and external agencies
