Our client is seeking a motivated and driven Sales Executive to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in engineering or manufacturing who enjoys sales, relationship building, and generating new business. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving sales growth while supporting day-to-day commercial operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare customer quotations using technical drawings and measurements, calculating material costs accurately.
• Cold call businesses to generate new leads and develop new business opportunities.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers.
• Process sales orders efficiently and accurately.
• Raise and manage invoices in line with company procedures.
• Order raw materials as required to support customer orders.
• Liaise with internal departments to ensure smooth order fulfilment.
• Follow up quotations and convert opportunities into confirmed sales.
• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and sales activity.
• Provide excellent customer service throughout the sales process.
• Support general sales administration duties as required.
Essential Experience & Skills
• Full UK driving licence (essential).
• Previous experience within sales, cold calling, and generating new business.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings and measurements.
• Engineering or manufacturing background preferred.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Confident telephone manner with a proactive sales approach.
• Organised with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to manage workload effectively and meet deadlines.
• Comfortable working independently as well as part of a team.
• Positive, target-driven attitude with a desire to succeed.
